The Department organized a “Guest Lecture on Quantitative Techniques in Geography”. The lecture was given by Prof. R.N. Mishra, Former Head, University of Rajasthan. Prof. Mishra specialises in Quantitative Geography and is a renowned academician of the field. The lecture dealt with various topics from Statistics to detailed Quantitative Data analysis techniques for Undergraduate and Post Graduate students and Research Scholars. He also informed the students about the importance as well as advantage of pursuing geography for higher studies and competitive exams.
This was followed by a question answer and discussion session.
The event concluded with an interactive session with Research Scholars wherein special inputs on Research Methodology was given. The entire session was well appreciated by the attendees.
