The Department of Geography organised an innovative practice for the first time on the lines of M-UN.
Mock - Regional Organization Activity was held for the students of Fifth Semester on the theme of Role of International and Regional organizations in shaping the world economy, geographically.
This is the first time that an activity of stature has been organised at university level in the state of Rajasthan. This was an inter- disciplinary activity where the students represented delegates from various organisations like World Trade Organisation, European Union, SAARC and ASEAN.
This event gave the students a chance to embody the diplomats of various countries who facilitate the global trade and tariff policies.The event was judged by Dr. Archana Gupta ( Dept. Of Political Science), Dr. Shilpi Chakravarty ( Dept. Of Foreign Trade Management) and Ms.Taniya Singh(Dept. Of Geography).
Students discussed various issues on the themes of gender disparity in workforce, healthcare in tropical countries, Reccuring natural calamities,Renewable Energy sources with respect to Solar energy, Food Security in developing countries, United world against terrorism, Encouraging Self sufficient economy, Increasing unemployment globally and Facilitating trade in conflict zones.
The delegation representing SAARC stood first followed by ASEAN. The award for Best Delegate was secured by Pranjal Sharma of Fifth Semester.
